We are so far off topic here, but it was aeroplanes that brought us to boats in the first place. This page provides a brief illustration of our "aeroplane" years, and our eventual arrival into the world of boating. We were, of course led by our fearless leader, Dave Ryan (sometimes known as "Captain Underpants"), and he led from the front, with a wonderful mix of charm, humour, warmth, patience, inventiveness, generosity, technical accomplishment, and (just occasionally) slapstick results! Dave is no longer with us, so this page serves as a tiny tribute to his extraordinary genius!
